Здравствуйте, и добро пожаловать на мою страницу! That is, “Hello, and welcome to my page!”

Since the spring of 2007, I have been obsessed with the Russian language. Granted, these days, many people prefer studying more popular languages like Spanish and Japanese, but honestly, while such languages would be more practical to learn, they haven’t fascinated me as much as Russian. Why is that? Well, this may sound like a weird and silly reason, but honestly, I am just very fascinated with the Cyrillic alphabet. It may not have the best-looking alphabet in the world and can be rather wordy, but for some reason, I am obsessed with it. I guess it’s because it’s similar enough to the Roman alphabet for me to be comfortable writing it – but different enough to look like a secret code. The letters are as simple as the Roman letters compared to Chinese, so they’re easy to write – and they’re also nice and uniform in size, so the words and sentences look neat and tidy.

As of March 2020, I am not particularly fluent in Russian, but as time goes by, I am learning more and more words and phrases. I am really glad to have started studying this language.

I would also like to ask any native (or fluent) Russian speakers to let me know if I have any grammar errors on my Russian pages. You may contact me here. If you are also interested in translating or contributing information in Russian about certain TV shows (The Brady Bunch, Arthur, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, etc.), I would really appreciate it.

Please note that because I consider this site separate from Jemascolia, little information here will be presented in English.
